Players that want to try lacrosse out before registering are most welcome, but must sign an insurance waiver prior to entering the gym. The clinic is held at Ecole Glenbrook Middle School, 701 Park Cres, New Westminster. Please enter through the main doors off the parking lot. Proper gym shoes and helmet are required, those with sticks and gloves are asked to bring them.
EVALUATIONS:
This box season we will again utilize the Scotia Barn in Burnaby to hold evaluations for Novice to Midget mixed divisions. For families that have not been involved in the evaluation process before the timeline of completing evaluations and balancing teams this year is February 16 to April 1. The obstacle we face in our community, and the reason we rent space at the Scotia Barn, is that indoor floor time in New Westminster is not available until the last week of March. We have no control of the dates and times available at the Scotia Barn.
Next week, families who selected to participate in evaluations will receive a notification with dates and instructions for the Scotia Barn evaluations. If you did not check the tryout/evaluation box during the registration process, and your athlete would like to participate in the process, please contact Lynda Callard registrar@

Hey Salmonbellies family,
We all miss lacrosse, but here’s a way you can spend some time with your favourite Senior Salmonbellies and support the team.
On May 15th, the Bellies will be 133 years old and we’re not letting Covid stop us from celebrating!
Join us for our first annual Feed the Fish event, an on-line gathering where we will talk about the Past, Present and Future of Our Game. We will be on-line from Salmonbellies.com and our Salmonbellies Facebook page from 10 am till 2 pm, along with dozens of guests.
Tune in to hear from legendary greats like Wayne Goss, Al Lewthwaite, Ben Hieltjes and many others and from current stars like Logan Schuss and Mitch Jones. We will also have some surprise guests throughout the day.
You will also have the opportunity to support the team in three ways:
Make an on-line donation and earn a chance to win door prizes.
Participate in our on-line auction.
Buy 50/50 tickets!
Please mark your calendar for May 15th, from 10 till 2. We will be posting our schedule soon so that you can tune in when your favourite Bellie is on.

2021 Box Lacrosse Pre-Registration is now OPEN!
Alright Bellies Family! The time has come to start the box lacrosse registration process for 2021!
Please follow this link to TeamSnap to start your registration or click the REGISTRATION tab at the top of the page.
Phase 1 – February 1 to February 28, 2021:
· During this phase, registration of players will happen via TeamSnap, with a required $25 deposit
o Why a deposit? When the season was cancelled in 2020, all players received a refund of 100% of their fees. This was a big administration effort with an associated cost. Considering the current state of COVID-19 restrictions, we are unable to make any assumptions about the upcoming season, however we are optimistic that we will get on the floor in some manner. This 4-week phase is intended to gauge player interest, while also allowing us time to hear the province’s COVID-19 restriction update scheduled for February 6 and make any required changes to get ourselves ready for the season!
o If season proceeds, deposit will be applied to registration fees
o If the season does not proceed, the deposit will be refunded minus a processing fee
More information to follow regarding Phase 2 registration, the next phase will begin on March 1, 2021.
Stay safe and take care,
MinorBellies Admin

Hello Salmonbellie Families,
Over the years our lacrosse community has always come together to help support families in need during the Christmas Holidays. This year I am asking our families to join together with the British Columbia Sheriff Service to help support their annual Christmas Toy Drive.
As you all know this year has been especially challenging for families and many kids will spend Christmas without toys or presents. The British Columbia Sheriff Service has supported the Vancouver Christmas Bureau for years by collecting toys which help families and children in need across the Lower Mainland. The Vancouver Christmas Bureau has seen a major decline in donations this year due to COVID-19 and are in need of our help!
On December 13th my family will be collecting toys (new unwrapped toys in their original packaging) at the Queens Park East Turf between 11:00- 1:00. If you can not make the drop off time I am willing to come to your homes, and pick up the toys from your front porch. You can contact me at president@minorbellies.com
If for whatever reason your family would like to donate online you can do so by visiting: CanadaHelps.org. For information on the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau, visit lmcb.ca
Have a fantastic Christmas and thanks in advance for your support.
