Dear Field Lacrosse Athlete:

 

Team BC - Field Lacrosse is a program designed with two primary factors in mind.  The objective of this Team BC Program is to assemble and develop a U18 and a U15 team to compete successfully in the Canadian National Field Championships.  And, Team BC wants to provide exposure to college and university coaches for players at the U18, U15 and U13 age groups for their pursuit of scholarships to attend post-secondary institutions in both the US and Canada.

 

Team BC - U18 and U15 will compete in the National Field Lacrosse Championships that will be held over the Labour Day weekend in 2016, location to be determined shortly.  Team BC - U13 will once again attend a showcase event in San Diego in January 2016 and new this upcoming year, the U18 team will also compete in a Showcase Event in Del Mar California while the U15 team will attend a scouting tournament in the US in November 2016.

 

We will be holding District Camps in all three Team BC divisions:  (venues to be determined in the coming months):

 

Late September 2015                         Lower Mainland District Camps (U18/U15/U13)

Early October 2015                              Vancouver Island District Camps (U18/U15/U13)

Early October 2015                              Interior District Camps (U18/U15/U13)

            October 11-12 2015                             Provincial Tryout Camps (U18/U15/U13)

 

Team BC - U13 Program - born 2003 and 2004.

The cost for training sessions to be held in the Fall 2015 and team expenses including travel, accommodations, ground transportation, food expenses and a uniform package to attend the San Diego event in January 2016 will be approximately $1,250.00 per player.

 

Team BC - U15 Program - born 2001 and 2002.

The cost for training sessions to be held through the summer in preparation for the Canadian Nationals and in the Fall prior to the US Recruiting Event in Baltimore and team expenses including travel, accommodations, ground transportation, food expenses and a uniform package for both trips will be approximately $2,750.00 per player.

 

Team BC - U18 Program - born 1998, 1999, 2000

The cost for training sessions held throughout the summer in preparation to attend the Canadian National Championships in Nova Scotia and a US Recruiting Event in California and team expenses including travel, accommodations, food expenses, ground transportation and a uniform package will be approximately $2,750.00 per player.

 

To be eligible for any of the three Team BC programs, players must be registered to play Field Lacrosse with the BCLA in the Sept 2015-Feb 2016 Field Lacrosse season and must participate in the mandated amount of games.

 

In the event that players are away at college, university or prep school and are unable to play community lacrosse, the individual may still register with the BCLA to ensure eligibility by the BCLA's registration deadline date of October 31, 2015.  The athletes who are away at school must still complete the Team BC Player Application form to be considered for the Team BC - Field U18/U15/U13 programs.  These players' names will be brought forward to the Team BC - Field Lacrosse Committee for evaluation and consideration for acceptance into the Team BC - Field Lacrosse Program.
